Joseph E. Schmitt III
Joe Schmitt is a retired finance executive having spent over 40 years in the health care field including 10 years as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Health Alliance Plan followed by 18 years as Senior System Vice President and CFO of Henry Ford Hospital and Medical Group. Joe worked closely with administrators and clinical leadership in developing annual budgets, capital planning and monitoring the ongoing financial performance of these organizations. He has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from Western Michigan University and a Masters in Business Administration (Executive MBA Program) from Michigan State University. He is a lifelong resident of the Grosse Pointes, graduating from Grosse Pointe South High School as did his father and four children.
